Heard Wish You Were Here on the radio the other day, which happens to be one of the first songs I learned on the guitar when I used to play, and now I find myself listening to old Pink Floyd songs regularly. They're rather calming and I love listening to it in my car's sound system.

Anyone else have similar experiences with other artists

Pink Floyd is amazing. I hate to sound cliche, but Brain Damage/Eclipse is easily my favorite.

I explored Porcupine Tree's discog recently and sort of went on a binge.

Their earlier stuff is heavily inspired by Pink Floyd, actually.

Holy shit, I can't believe you mentioned Porcupine Tree.

One of my good friends back in high school was obsessed with that band, he would always listen to Fear of a Blank Planet and Open Car. P sure he's studying abroad in London now.

But yeah life story aside, they're a decent band.

I was playing Wish you Were Here yesterday. It is a simple song but fun every time you play it.

Hey it's a good song but I don't think it's overrated.

Overplayed, maybe. They have more songs that deserve just as much recognition.

But the amount of symbolism and the authentic sound of Comfortably Numb is what makes it one of my favorites by them.
