From what I can gather it looks like Arthur Dayne (I assume that's who Ned is fighting) is duel wielding for some reason. Howland Reed doesn't look like a strong participant in the fight, unless he's using some sort of Greenseer magic to placate Dayne before stabbing him with his Trident.

Fuck, maybe Ned was more skilled than we previously thought.

Damn, man. Kinda pissed the books haven't covered this yet, because I think the show will lessen the reveal when it actually comes.

Prediction: this is shown at the start of the season, with Lyanna dying in Ned's arms after telling Ned to promise to take care of Jon (L + R confirmed at that point), then cut to Jon's funeral and/or resurrection.

Really the only way to confirm all the conspiracy and prophesy shit without some heavy-handed dialog.

Same. I'd rather read it first, also. But we know Jon's in season 6, and since they burn the bodies in the north I can't imagine they'll be able to draw his death out too long.

It'd also be cool if they devoted an entire episode or two to past content. Though they've already left out so many characters and plotlines it seems like it might be a waste of showtime.

There's talks in the works about possibly extending the series to 8 seasons instead of 7. That would hopefully provide season 6 as a sort of breather season to develop the AFFC story lines that were abdicated from S4 and S5, then S7 and 8 should be a continuation of WoW and ADoS.

At least, that's how I'd like to see it pan out anyway.
