Something where I can cut up multiple clips, extract the audio and put my own in. Like Final Cut or something.

Can anyone recommend anything?

not for the shit you want to do. there's gonna be a learning curve for whatever software you end up choosing, but at least those programs are well documented and have active and helpful communities. whatever shit freeware you find will probably be riddled with malware, have virtually no support online, and might flat out just not work.

that being said, windows movie maker can do everything you need just fine.

I use Wondershare Filmora. It's not free but it's the best editing software I have ever used. $30 well spent.
