That's fine. But the constant is space travel. I watched both movies almost exclusively because of that reason so it's fair to assume Ender had a similar train of thought.

I watched only a small part of 2001 so not really. The fact I was in a mostly empty theater during Interstellar (which has very quiet parts) probably didn't help.
