Great movie. You'll grow up eventually
Are saying that from a religious standpoint or a filmmaking standpoint?
both
From a religious standpoint, the student did offer some pretty interesting arguments
But they made the professor a total dumbass
His responses to the arguements were just scoffing and saying it can't be
I was looking forward to some actual God vs atheist debating but instead it was just the professor bullying the student
Furthermore, all the characters are terrible
You could clearly tell who was meant to be a Christian and who was meant to be an atheist
The Christians were patient kind people while the atheists were rude and bigoted
Every character was so one dimensional and completely forgettable
Not to mention their character motivations make no sense
The wife breaks up with the professor after one conversation with the pastor
The girlfriend who loves our protagonist so much just breaks up with him because of philosophy clas
The reporter's boyfriend just walks out when he hears she has cancer
And way to make them the most stereotypical characters ever
The Asian with the strict business man dad?
The super traditional religious Muslim father?
The bitter Christian man who goes atheist after a tragedy?
Come on
Every situation is so contrived and completely just bends to the will of the plot
Why the fuck did that Muslim chick's brother just randomly bust in and steal her iPod?
The professor invites all his friends over and they all start bullying his wife
Like wtf
Every subplot was soooooo bad and forgettable
What role did the Asian guy play?
He literally did nothing the whole movie
Why did they even include the grandma?
Was it so that they'll have a powerful moment where the meek character delivers a profound speech?
It was just such a bad movie
