It was a good film, I thought Shia and the cast were pretty good and there was some gnarly gore in it

Did you like it

If I'm not here, I'm doing photography. Or I'm asleep. Or in lockdown. One of those three, anyway.

The current titlebar/avatar setup is just normal.
Yep, bought the DVD when it came out, and the tank itself.

lmao
Bought the Fury when it launched, didn't play a game with it yet when the next week I just stopped playing WoT all together.

Maybe one day I'll pick it back up... Though it has been two years

OT: Yeah, pretty good film. The cast was great and really the only gripe I have with the whole film was Brad Pitt's stupid fucking haircut. Otherwise, they did more than well enough on the historical side of things for a movie, IMO.

Best time to do it is now really. NA servers get a shit tonne of free bonuses and sales/discounts, events, etc, but because the playerbase is falling.

(And also the Fury fucking kicks ass in in pubbies, despite being a slightly lesser Sherman Easy 8 )

You will find out who you are not a thousand times, before you ever discover who you are. I hope you find peace in yourself and learn to love instead of hate.

But they portrayed the Nazi's as the bad guys, I thought that would be wrong from your pov

I saw the German Soldier letting Norman live as a parallel to Norman at the start of the movie, fresh faced and not yet ready to kill.

Only gripe was the squadron of SS being taken out by one tank. Weirmacht maybe, but not SS.

Fantastic movie otherwise. Might watch it again now that you mentioned it.

Late war SS, yes.
Well, maybe not a whole bat... A company or two would be a real possibility.
Late war leadership was abysmal, with junior officers being promoted from any available stock, and ignorance of proper battlefield doctrine was very common, especially as experienced NCO's were being pulled away, promoted, and stuck in a tent planning ops instead of leading fireteams in the field.

Yeah. One thing I noticed when I watched it. Wondering if it was just me. I'm no expert on bullets.

Was there any particular reason that almost all scenes with heavier caliber guns firing had a really off putting tinge of colour to them? And noticable too.

YouTube

Guess it's not just me. Unless it's ignorance on my part as to bullet mechanics in older weapons, I feel like they hired an amatuer to do those effects.

I don't really know if the tracer effect is overdone in its visibility, it's been years since I've shot a .50 or a 240b, but that's what they're supposed to do. One in five shots on your .30 and .50 were tracer rounds (officially, in doctrine anyway) and all the standard APC rounds for the Sherman had a tracer so help confirm shot placement.

That seems to be a lot of tracers. Anyone know how many rounds that puppy kicks or per minute?

That's what I was thinking somewhat. Main thing that was off putting to me is the brightness and colour. Blues and reds. Like fellow below says, they look like blaster shots.

Beginning good
Middle fight scene good with the infantry
Tank fight scene was good other than the bounce at point blank from the tiger
Last battle was just stupid. They had so many panzerfust you don't swarm charge a immobilized tank

You mean the one at 2:55
YouTube

where the shell essentially glances off the frontal armor because it hits at such a ridiculous angle? Entirely plausible.

Numbers were goofy, but yes, late war SS was this unorganized.

oh come on brah, I ain't no SS fan boy.
Das Reich and Hohenstaufen couldn't hold a candle to the achievements of the 7th Panzer and Leibstandarte would have crumbled faster than Rommel's DAK in Egypt.
