Yes. A Storm of Swords and Dance With Dragons were split into two books each because of their length.

I like my stories to be rooted somewhat in reality. Otherwise, I just couldn't a fuck about anybody or anything that happens. It's boring to me.

What's it about?A seemingly generic (but actually detailed and unique) fantasy adventure with a very detailed system of magic and unbelievably good writing.There are currently two books, with the last in the trilogy coming out next year.

That's the problem. Everyone tries too hard to be realistic nowadays. Like, apparently he writes his sex scenes in grisly detail so that there's no eroticism whatsoever. It's like, what the fuck? Why bother?

No...There's almost no sex in the books whatsoever, and none of it is grisly.
