And calc isn't a prerequisite for anything later on? Either way, you're going to have a lot tougher classes than Calc I, then. You probably shouldn't have dropped it. Have you tried a tutor?

You only need up to Calc II to get into the pharmacology school I'm looking at

more than enough time to take it when I'm a Junior or something and not a Freshman

I dropped Calc 1 my first semester. Aced it in a winter session and the world didn't come to an end.

I'm a strong advocate for dropping classes that pose a risk to your GPA, though it may look slightly bad on a transcript depending on how many classes you drop.

I've taken math all the way to Calculus III and did linear algebra. I assure you, Cal I is nothing. You should have tried to stick it out, because once you get the derivative rules down, its pretty easy. After that just comes the application of derivatives.
