I've never visited a shop that allows enough time for the old oil to drip out.

i dont trust other mechanics to work on my car except at this one speed shop that i let change my tires and do an alignment because they do a perfect job

Literally anybody can do a basic service, although some newer cars (take the Nissan GTR, for instance, not that a great deal of people own one) need to be serviced by a certified workshop mechanic, because they were engineered to be that hypersensitive. Like, if your Diff fluid goes above a certain temperature even once, you need to get it completely replaced at a Nissan workshop ASAP, or so I've read.
