From experience, I'd like to encourage cautious optimism. From the 325 applications I submitted from 2013 I netted 8 phone interviews, 5 face-to-face interviews, 2 work trials and 1 successful employment opportunity. This was without a degree but with work experience in IT/Statistics from 2010 onwards, and almost all of them would be considered 'entry-level' jobs, so the context may be completely different for you.

I wouldn't suggest getting a part time job till 17-18. When you are really starting to prepare and move to College. As you'll have little free time at 16.

tfw i probably cant get a job for summer because im doing wisdom tooth extractions in 2 appointments and getting a hearing aid in my skull at a later time so recovery will be a while depending on my body and my hair will be shaved so itll make me look bad for interviews
