It currently holds a 39% audience score of RT.

The only problem with this score is that it's not lower. I pray with all my heart that this show financially tanks, and that's coming from someone who just put $150 on a new collection of the books.

Been watching it. It seems okay I suppose?

Mind you I've only seem the three Peter Jackson LOTR films, Like of course it doesn't hold a candle to those. I guess I'd be upset about it if I read all the footnotes and knew Isildur's lunch table was placed 6 inches left from where it was supposed to be,

I’ve only watched bits of it, but can’t really see myself getting into it.

Don’t have much bad to say about it. Just seems like your typical “mega corporation purchases beloved IP and plans on milking it dry” episode.

Thankfully we have a pretty great game of thrones spin off to watch (never would have guessed that one).

So far Galadriel. Bad continuity and writing. Cringe content.

On the good side it does look very good and expensive. The rendition of Numenor is magical. Everything with the dwarves is fun as usual and the friendship between Elrond and Durin. The orcs look good.

Overall I'd say Elrond and Durin bros have the show on their back. They're the only part that feels like someone among the two dozen writers and producers actually likes Tolkien. Every other storyline and character they're juggling is pretty weak. Honestly I dunno why I'm even watching anymore but I think it's just cause it looks so nice.
