i know what it means obviously but wouldnt pretty much anything be considered not safe for work

like, im pretty sure your boss wouldnt like you browsing twitter/reddit/etc during work, regardless of content, right?

the term dates back to when computers were less ubiquitous in our lives and people who needed to work with a computer and an internet connection could realistically do anything they wanted as long as their work was done

it's difficult to compare being one of a handful of guys in the office who actually needed to be online in the late 90s against dicking around on your phone in the modern workplace

If you're caught on Twitter you get a slap on the wrist but pornhub would land you in some pretty hot water
