For the people who are wondering why Japanese song videos seem like what they are:
That is because it is a cultural thing. The vids are simple and portray everyday life, while the Western ones are more flashy and festive/"party-ish".

You guys need to chill the fk out. Japanese songs mostly are about how they are thinking in everyday lives, even akb48 lol. Even ignite, with it's flashy green light and fireworks it's presenting how she is looking for herself in the darkness... Most of Japan video clips are about themselves looking for a new light, or how they were thinking about their love to something. I haven't see any video clip where they are "flirting-like" with opposite gender in party/clubbin/drunken ways.
