Door, a quote thread simply isn't fit for the Serious Board.
However if you use a quote to lead into a discussion on one of the accepted Serious topics, that's passable:

Ethics
Philosophy
Politics
Military
Medicine*
Religion
War

*This pertains to the more serious aspects of healthcare, rather than just things like the common cold. To give three examples - Ebola crisis, Nationalised healthcare/Insurance healthcare discussions and things like suicide prevention/discussion.

But a quote thread, is a quote thread. And it just doesn't fit in Serious.
