subconscious biases=/=bigotry, especially in the context of sexuality. this is something that people have no direct control over. you can work on your subconscious biases against muslims, or women, but you cannot choose who you are attracted to. i think youre just being pedantic and want to use bigotry because it technically fits even though the negative connotation attached to it is wildly off base in this context. like you want to shame people for something they cant change.

I'm not shaming people--I'm shaming biology. I'm well-aware that you can't help what you're attracted to, but... isn't that shitty? Of biology? It really fucking sucks that some people win the "genetic lottery" and others do not. That's what I'm attacking.

not to mention, some people actually are actively bigoted and hateful towards less-than-attractive people (particularly fat people)

so i don't think it's a completely unfair term to use

i have a question because you seem to be quite knowledgeable about objective attractiveness and stuff

what would you say has a larger impact on one's attractiveness--their face/complexion, or their hair style

i've been told by a number of people that a good hairstyle can make pretty much anyone at least a "7"
but i'm skeptical

it seems to me that if you have a bad face, good hair helps, but you're generally just fucked

most people dont have irredeemable bone structure/complexion. in my experience, hygiene, general wellness, "fashion style," and hair are the big variables for most people.

attitude too, actually. the only time faces really make all that much of a difference is if youre 1) gorgeous or 2) actually ugly

Face. Specifically bone structure followed by complexion. With an attractive face any hairstyle will look good on you

However for anyone with a sub 8 face (aka 80% of people) hairstyles will make a big difference. A major thing is hairline/going bald, that can really detract from someones overall rating.

there's obviously a lot of variables and you couldn't possibly line people up in order of attractiveness but generally speaking i think there is a "line of best fit" that a lot of people choose to be blind to

some people are just objectively unattractive, based on the average human being's standard of attractiveness

Nah. Symmetry, bone structure, proportion, and healthy traits are always attractive. Look up the golden ratio in facial structure, interesting to read about.

Roman likes fat chicks because it's all he can get, srs. People tend to be attracted to people that are the same level of attractivness as them. Of course there are outliers, and some people tend to shoot above their range (hence loafs thread)
