I'm sorry, I forgot to include that in my OP, which really makes a difference. I've been told by people working with the guy who doxxed him that all of the information was indeed publicly available.

Yeah, if it wasn't anything like bank statements, credit card info, social security number etc. then I don't think dude has a strong case.

THE LONG-ASS STORY BY ME, THE ONE TRUE DESTICLE

So, here goes. This story starts off on Reddit when a user by the name of n_inext AKA theslenderblox1 (who we will be calling The Kid) spammed the PCMR subreddit with a bunch of console shillery bullshit. Of course, his posts got downvoted into oblivion because nobody gives a shit, so he decided to create his own subreddit so his ideas could be posted without fear of being ridiculed. Except he spammed the absolute shit out of other subreddits with links to his sub while calling people niggеrs and faggots pretty much constantly and finally, a few Reddit users who will not be named had enough of him and they started thinking of ways to have some fun with The Kid and to produce the lulz.

One day, The Kid posts two posts one after another to his subreddit. One is a link to his YouTube channel and another is a full-screen shot of his Steam client, both of which contained the same name. Immediately, people start adding him on Steam asking to play games with him in an attempt to gain his trust and eventually to gain control of the subreddit he managed. Many tried and failed, but one Reddit user (who we will call Based Girl) adds him on Steam and reveals that she is in fact a #GURL GAMER. Oh shit! So of course, The Kid pretty much immediately gives her control of the subreddit after they Skype chat and he verifies that she actually posesses tits and a vagina. Less than a week later, it's found out that The Kid's parents made him delete his account (the exact reason for it is wildly speculated but it turns out that he just has shitty grades because he spends all day on Reddit. Go figure).

With The Kid's account deleted, the subreddit is free to be essentially destroyed by Based Girl and her cronies on Reddit. Over the next few days, these champions were applauded and held high, basking in their victory. But alas, there was another mod The Kid elected before Based Girl who found out about the subreddit's takeover a few days later and promptly removed them all from the list. Defeat. Disappointment.

Over a month passed and it was discovered that The Kid had created a new Reddit account. He went a few days without disturbing anyone, but then he was discovered posting in the PC Master Race subreddit once again, calling people niggеrs just like he used to. Of course, he denied any association with his previous account, saying that he was in fact a friend The Kid, but it was obvious that it was indeed The Kid once again. Days went by and miraculously, The Kid started getting banned from subreddits left and right. One by one, each of the subs he frequented banned him until finally, silence. With nowhere left to post, it was thought that The Kid once again deleted his Reddit account, meaning that he would be back again one day.

But lo and behold, he hadn't deleted his account. It was discovered a few days prior that he was the mod of a Destiny clan subreddit, believe it or not. His name still showed up on the modlist of that sub, relvealing that The Kid was in fact shadowbanned from Reddit by the admins of the site. Those fascist dictators did one good thing for us after all and silenced this Kid forever, with no way for him to ever know.

He will continue posting over the next few months into a sort of internet black hole, unaware that none of his words will ever be seen again. Nobody will be listening.

And of course, some dipshit went and posted his phone number. Go figure, it's fucking Reddit users we're talking about here. Anyway, that's the story of all this. An epic tale of internet dipshittery.
