Online relationships are hard to do because you don't really the intimacy and trust that comes with being able to physically be with someone. Trust is the most important thing to have a healthy relationship.

To be honest, online relationships will probably leave you feeling more alone than no relationship. Sure, some people can handle it, but a lot can't.

Even if you start online though, a relationship should always move towards something in person. Otherwise, you are wasting your time.

I neither fear, nor despise.

This is neither relevant or funny.
Could you please stop following me around the forum harassing me?
I'm not.
That's a bare-faced lie. You like every post that says something negative about me. You attack me in my threads and wherever I post. I can't go a day on here without it happening, all this while trying to avoid you. Can you not just get a life, lay off the booze or whatever causes you to act so ugly, and just leave me in peace?
I like most posts that make me laugh.
I also read a lot of threads.
Stop thinking I follow you around.
Stop skirting around the edges of what I'm saying and face up to the facts.
I don't follow you around with some grand scheme of fucking up your day, bro.

Don't lie Das, you totally follow people around forums on the internet all day liking posts that target them.
Not sure of being rocket or srs

You really had to ask?

Bruh

It's wonderful on the offchance that it works, though.
You were the one of the ones I was thinking of when I said some could handle it.

Your love gets me so high
things can start online, but you don't really know a person until you spend time with them irl
depends on the person

yeah, if you're a lying asshole, then that would be a problem

if you display yourself honestly online?
no, i don't think you do need to spend time with them "irl"
speaking from personal experience, i can say that people are different when they're interacting face to face with someone compared to online

a friend of mine told me how one her friends thought i was cute, so she gave me her friend's number. we started texting back and forth and eventually i did start to like her and want to advance things. but when we met for the first time she was just socially awkward and quiet in person, which isn't really my type. she didn't portray herself to be that way through our texting conversations so i guess i was kind of misled in a way.

all in all people will always act differently online compared to in person, i don't care who you are. there aren't as many repercussions for what you say and you have all the time in the world to think about what you want to say somebody, compared to normal conversation where it's more spontaneous and personal.

just my two cents

exactly

you show who you really are online

unless, like i said, you just straight up lie

that was my argument

i would argue that your dismissal of her offline personality on the basis that she wasn't as "social" as she was online makes you kinda shallow

Online relationships are just the results of infatuation and the cheap way of warding off loneliness

Thinking about meeting in real life might feel cute or some shit but when you want a kiss or a hug, it gets awkward fast

Eh, only if you try to move shit too fast I would think. If you actually want to hang out, have fun, etc, then I don't see the problem at all with it. Sure the initial conversation/meeting may be awkward, but if you really have gotten close with someone, confided in them, etc, then I think it's different.

I know of a few instances where people met online and then met irl and actually keep a relationship going.

Online relationships are the results of infatuation

If you start an online relationship, you already went too fast

Now you gotta ask yourself why, lad.

Sounds like the people who are uncomfy with gay marriage or something but it has literally nothing to do with em.

And real life relationships where people fuck the first date/week isn't?

People could know each other online for a long while before admitting feelings. It's not just some instant "lets date" unless you go to dating sites I would think.

Apparently it's a Russian reform movement
Gorbachev's big "open government" reform that kinda ended up bringing around the dissolution of the soviet union.

Also, it's bretty much always awkward meeting someone from the internet in person.

Also also, these things work alright for people with a somewhat manageable distance between them, but Flee is in a minority with his "success".

Also also also, the online dating stigma is pretty much gone with the mainstream commercialization of a few well known websites. Craigslist still holds a stigma.

P.S. Fuck the Atlantic ocean.
