My town is called Winter Haven.

For my hometown, the trews came to play in a local bar (I'm assuming there was some dirty money in there somewhere). As for where I'm living now, one of my favourite musicians is a radio host for a station based here.

An Irish Saint, reckoned to have reached America before Columbus was born nearby in 500AD, one of the invading Spanish Armada ships landed there 1000 years later, it was a major port for immigrants to the US in the 1800's, arms shipments for the IRA have been repeatedly been trafficked and captured there (including a German U-boat in 1916), and was also the location of a major operation for Irish Free State soldiers to land there and retake the nearest major town, Tralee in 1922.

Nowadays though from what I saw last time of Fenit, it's a derelict, close minded, xenophobic, IRA-supporting shithole.

Not much. What I do like about El Paso is the fact that it was created out of necessity rather than some other malicious motivation such like greed or the exploitation of others. When the Spanish were exploring the area for the first time, they needed a way to get through the mountains after they crossed the Rio Grande river. What they found was a pass to the north through the mountains, which eventually became the city of El Paso. This city is a very friendly city despite it being right next to the border with Juarez on the other side. We have a kind of small town mentality even though we a a reasonably large city.
