I'm bored af, and remembered someone did this on B.old

I'll start the scenario and lead the story. You can do anything you want within the realm of reason, but you only control yourself, not other things. Ridiculous choices are fine, as are serious ones.


You're in the middle of a forest meadow. Bird chirps complement the happy afternoon sun shining on you and the flowers around you. To the south is the way you came. To the east, the forest gets thicker and darker. To the north, you can vaguely make out the shape of some sort of looming building. The air is moist to the west, suggesting the presence of a lake or something.

What do you do?


The first person to reply here chooses what happens. When I reply to that, the first person to quote that reply chooses what happens. And so on.

Kill that fuckin bird and go back to sleep

You look around for the specific bird that chirped, but notice that there are dozens of them singing happily around you. You decide to just shoot one with your crossbow and it falls to the ground. You pick it up and try to sleep, but the bright sun in your eyes doesn't allow you to.

Inventory:
--Bird carcass
--Wooden crossbow (24 bolts)
--Leather armor
--Waterskin (5/5 full)
--Jerky (8 pieces)
--73 gold coins

Next I head towards the lake

You head west, noticing a well-worn path beneath you. The bright sun continues to shine down through the thin canopy, and after a brief ten minute walk, you come to a lake. The lake is huge, and so clear that you can see the lakebed in its depths. A deer drinks from the water on the other side of the lake, and you see that the dirt path turns into a paved cobblestone one on the other side, as well. You see something glimmering on the bottom of the water.

I follow the cobblestone road

You walk around the giant lake, causing the deer to run off when it sees you. Stepping onto the cobblestone road, you begin trekking out of the woods. You walk for an hour before the trees start to thin out and you're able to spot what looks like an immense plain in the distance. Looking to your side, however, you see a plume of smoke rising up from farther into the forest. The sounds of the birds has halted.

I go towards the building.

Eventually, the smell of smoke grows thicker and you come to its source: a large chimney, connected to a modest country home. The grass is overgrown in front of the house, and the place itself looks rather dilapidated. A strong oak door separates the interior of the cabin from the light breezy air outside.
