Very rarely is individuality needed in life. I see it as something that can get in the way of a goal.
If this exists in an army it has a far greater chance of falling apart. And in governments, the power hungry always get greedy and muck things up, killing those in their way.
Jobs need to be done, and done to the T. And Individuality gets in the way of this.

With very real world examples from my own experiences.

I'm a grunt. Most of my jobs consist of being a laborer on a work site. It's my job to haul shit, clean shit, and get stuff where it needs to go. I'm zee butler of the worksite. That's what's expected of me. But while I work, I do more than that. I think.

I think ahead of what my head honchos are doing. And make moves before they even have to tell me what we're doing, what they need, and what I need to do. Most of all, I spot things. Details the boss missed. And I point them out.

If I was just a standard grunt like all the rest, then I'd shovel and haul shit around, just like them. But I'm not. And it's served me, and my co-workers well in the past. And sometimes, they don't even know that I'm there. I'll be doing my job, and see a problem coming up ahead of time, and fix it before anybody encounters it. Airlines in the way, snags and coils, moving tools ahead of time to where they'll be needed shortly.

If I was not like this, trust me when I say this.

1. A lot of my jobs would be a lot more shitty if I wasn't watching out for the little details. And not just shitty for me either. The whole group.

2. There'd be a fair few misshaps and accidents that could result in injury or potentially death.

The way I act, the way I think, in my position, is for lack of a better term, credit to team.
