As do I. Maybe it's because INTPs think too much and want to avoid potential failures, or maybe it's to test how skillful we are.

Edit: Yes, I realize that most people do this, but in their cases it's often not on purpose to a degree where it's considerable. New names, new photos and how you're received all affect how you act.
