Idea to draw interest to the site

There's been talk about having a section of the site where we can submit written articles, like game and movie reviews, walkthroughs, and such.

What if we could start an official Sep7agon YouTube channel? It wouldn't be huge, and the main purpose wouldn't be to get popular on YouTube, but to use it to post the videos on here.

People work differently when it comes to creativity and voicing their opinions. Sure, a video requires much more work to be good, as it's not just about the content, but how it's presented. Recording, cutting, editing, takes more time than writing a text and clicking save. So this idea might be a bit unfeasable.

But I think it's worth noting, and considering.

I was thinking along the line of reviews and guides. If anybody wants to do a let's play it should be on their own channel. I have nothing against let's plays, but the style varies wildly and each person likes different ones.

No, I used to direct Indie movies.
They sucked dick though.
On the upside, I was pretty good with special effects, so if you ever need lasers for anything...

Let's plays exist in many different styles, each person has different tastes, and each let's player do things slightly differently. The quality is hard to judge objectively, and thus would hard to keep consistent.

Or maybe Verbatim just despises let's plays for some other reason. I don't know.

If we just edit out the crazy racism and whatever else that might not exactly be favourable on youtube*, it would resemble something along the lines of "X game with the ASDF's"

I have everything to do it but I just suck at doing it.
Sony Vegas - Check
Powerful Computer to render videos - Check
HD Capture Card for Xbox/Ps3/WiiU - Check
PC That Can Stream and Record - Check

I tried my hand at commentary but the quality was never something that I personally would enjoy so I just unlisted all of my videos and tried again... and then my new video took a dump because my script was terrible that I dropped it after 1/4 of the take and then it turned into a rambling mess.

If I had motivation I would love to help create stuff for a group. I could see us working like another Vinesauce type of community. We have a group of streamers/Video Producers that play in certain types of styles, Game Nights and a collective channel with highlights from streams/recordings. The channel could be what we want it to be but we would have to get it to the quality that we would want.

I personally seem to not like serious videos at all (Even when I try to make them).

A news section would be cool, I wouldn't mind doing that.

At first it would be about gaming only but once we attract a wider audience we could make it grow into other areas.
