And I'm not sure what to get. I'm looking at something made by Bose or Sony since they have good rep in the audio industry. Also look at audio technica M50x but I'm open to more suggestions.

Don't by Beats. Stylishness in exchange for being hideously overpriced with awful sound quality to boot. Not worth it.

i like Bose but yeah Sennheisers are just more bang for your buck

Bose spends money in advertising and running stores so it'll up the cost of their products whereas Sennheiser does not
