Philosophy really doesn't do much, if you aren't already able to consider multiple perspectives at once and back everything up then there's no point

I've never taken a single philosophy class, unfortunately. Also, reading and COMPREHENDING influential philosophers like Kant, Nietzsche or Schopenhauer is helpful. Buy a few books, read and then research them further to get a greater understanding of them, and then apply the knowledge.

If you love something, the very last thing you should do is take a formal class on it in school. If there's anything that universities excel at, it's crushing enthusiasm for any subject.

Better to go to school for something that will put bread on the table, and then study the things you actually like on your own terms so you can still have something to make you happy.

That highly depends on the professor that's doing the teaching. For example, my Philosophy and History professors were amazing, which only increased my interrest in the subjects. But yeah, one bad teacher will ruin everything.

When you study something in school, you study multiple aspects of it at different levels across a lot of different courses, with lot's of different professors. Maybe one or two of them will be great like that, the rest will make what you're doing feel like an obligation.
