I still associate this site and its community with Bungie

Whenever I'm asked about what site I'm on, I always say "just a bunch of people from Bungie". And that feels right to me. I'll always associate this as an offsite of Bungie.net.

Sure we could say we're unique, and I'm not saying anything negative at all when I say I still associate it with b.net, it's just an association I can't seem to break.

Do you guys consider this community as its own thing, or do you still associate all of this with b.net

I associate this place with the old Bungie and all those good times.

I'm inclined to agree, and that's probably why I can't shake it. Because it's essentially a sort of twisted homage to how things were before destiny honestly

Well that would be because we are from B.net in the first place, not everyone but the core of the site is people who were fed up with bungie's shit but didn't want to leave all of the community behind.

The first two sites were fullblown offsites, Sep7 started off as one but over the last year and a half it's become it's own thing. Even then, it's still always going to have it's roots in B.net.

The banner above at the top of this page says The Flood, Sep7agon is an old old old bungie thing and the moderator positions are Ninjas just like the positions on Bnet.

I think we are both, Sep7 is it's own thing these days but that's not to say we've fully broken off from bungie. Old bungie that is <_<

Of course you would, it's literally modelled after bungie.net pre 2013, as well as having a sizeable % of the community comprised of bungie/ex bungie users.

It's the direction the site should have stayed before Bungie had forsaken itself. They claim the site overhaul was to prepare for the huge influx of traffic, I don't agree. I can't see the layout needing such an overhaul when the tools that were added in 2013 were downright ignored months afterwards when traffic was only increasing more. Furthermore, they talked about their interaction with the community never changed, it's just that there were more people so it seemed smaller, another claim I refuse to believe. Once they went dark with their weekly updates (and subtly brought it back by hiding them in the corner of the front page for the longest time) the only active member with gold text was DeeJ, and we all know his reception, even on his own site.

If you have only ever been a member of gigantically enormous forums, moderately large ones do tend to seem empty.

Big Boss is making a card game, custom groups are in the works, and the Anarchy board is around the corner. There are game nights and tournaments that pop up every once in a while in #­gaming too.

I really would like us to start getting people from other places to check out here, but most people don't seem to want to.

I'm still on the fence. I'm always on b.net and actually made an account on Sep7 today due to fears of collapse in the website. Admittedly I won't be on here much since I'm constantly on mobile and using a browser for this gives me a headache for some reason.

I figured though that should a mass exodus take place again or Bungie decides to nuke their website, this will be a good place to relocate. Plus it seems pretty laid back here, spite all people say about the site. I'll still check in every now and then.

I just try not to think about Bungie anymore, honestly. The best times have passed.
