The annoying thing is, I failed because of mistakes that I see qualified drivers make all the time on a much worse scale. Or shit like using my eyes to check a junction without turning my head because the examiner couldn't tell I was checking.

First test, I failed at this stupid junction where you're meant to go to the centre of the junction and move in when the traffic lights are red and stop when they're green if you're turning into it. I went when the light was green and got majored for it.
Second test, I failed for not turning my head to check a junction, not overtaking on a dual carriageway, and having a van cut across me on a mini-roundabout that wasn't indicating to turn.
Third test, I came to the same junction as the first and failed for waiting too long to go.
Fourth test, I came to the same junction, got to the middle point and then went when the light was green.
Fifth test, I got majored for stopping in an awkward position when there was a row of cars on my side, forcing the oncoming car on the other side to let me pass.

i love driving on highways, but theres one i fucking hate because its a three lane high way on both sides surrounded by walls so you feel trapped in the street. driving downtown is my worst fear since a lot of the streets are one way only and its always under construction so one day may be different than the next day you drive there. plus rush hour is the worst

One thing I've learned on the road, it's best to assume every other driver is about to fuck up. Even if they're driving flawlessly, even if it's your own mother, assume they're about to do something stupid at any given moment.

Better yet don't use cruise control at all cause its for pussies. You might as well just let someone drive the car for you if you put cruise control on.

Actually, most people are assholes who drive five over the speed limit because we've convinced ourselves that it's okay to do so (it's not).

As for me, even if I didn't have anything against driving five over, I'm literally prohibited from doing so by my instructor--making me slower than everyone else by default. It's just a terrible feeling.

speed limits dont really mean anything in the city aspect, they sure as hell do in populated areas. its the lowest speed you should be going on a road but youre fine going at least 10 over the limit. anything past that is a no-no and just as dangerous as driving 5 under.

yea but what if a speedometer was slightly off by 1mph? you gotta take into account technology not being accurate, plus radar is very innacurate given it needs to be calibrated every few months, and then they can easily be tampered with with jammers that anyone can have.
