The irony of the picture is that a young girl in (Presumably) a third world country is printing a shirt that says "First World Problems." It's just to show that our issues are jack shit compared to what other people have to deal with, especially considering many of them go through so much work and pain to give us the things we take for granted.

Yeah, that's what I meant when I said to Velox that I wanted to take it at 'face value', because that's a simple, effective visual statement I can support.
