The conspiracy is that it's "Berenstein" and not "Berenstain" because it's an altered reality since a huge populous remembers it as "berenstein" someone must have gone back in time and changed our history. However this just makes me sound batshit insane...

I've read up on this an the Mandela effect. I think it's amusing but I believe it's more likely that it's a decades-long experiment in mass hypnosis.
