It pays $12.50 an hour, so that's $25,000 a year. It's for Charter Communications. Basically they're desperate for workers it seems. My question is, has anyone worked at one and are they really as bad as the media portrays them? Maybe I'll suck it up and do it even for a year, then I can finally afford to move out.

Ask Titsune. She works at one.

You don't have to be there for ever if you end up not liking it.

Come to the decision that teaching is not for me, and a list of reasons why:

1. Not good around kids, can't discipline them. I'm too nice
2. Only wanted to do it to meet someone, maybe sleep with another teacher like I did before
3. All of my money would be gone
4. I don't see myself doing it for the rest of my life
5. Just because I teach history it wouldn't make me Indiana Jones
6. It's 11 months without working

You will find out who you are not a thousand times, before you ever discover who you are. I hope you find peace in yourself and learn to love instead of hate.
firstly let me just say im glad you're not teaching the future generation.

now tbh teaching is still better than a call centre you can make a career out of it, can the same be said in a call centre? maybe you get promoted to supervisor or manager, it's still ehh
teachers get fucking great holidays

You make assumptions about me...I know a lot about history. Just because I like to have fun with women I shouldn't become a teacher?

I live in about to be in debtsville if I do a graduate program. It doesn't matter anyways. I just want to be around other students my age again and have somewhat of a social life. But that's not worth all of my money, $26,000.

I was mostly joking, but if you don't live somewhere where call centers are outsourced to, your job is pretty much always in threat of being sent overseas. You're better off being a waiter or something.

I worked at one.

One of the most stable, satisfying jobs I've ever had.

I highly recommend it, because there's a lot of room to move up too.

The demand for stateside call centers is increasing rapidly.

Americans like talking to Americans, and a lot of companies have figured out that Americans are more skilled to take care of customers than Indians.

Speaking of call centers. I just went through customer service hell, being transferred multiple times and talking to the same guy on at least three different occasions.

Thinking about it. My friend says he makes $100 in tips every night. Think I have the looks for a waiter, maybe not the attitude though.

I'm actually 100% serious.

American call centers are expanding and taking on new clients all the time.

When your company is hired to answer calls for a new client, they need new management.

Every few years they'll get picked up by a new company.

Usually your hours are the same every day and there's little wiggle room for your supervisor to give you the runaround.

It's a stable, decent paying, satisfying job that you could very well go salary in if your company expands in the future.

Being a waiter sucks dick. No one can tolerate it.

Do the call center thing.
