The idea that they've been an established group for a long time, even predating the Justice League by at least two years, is very cool.
It handily explains why Batman has paid such close attention to Flash prior to the events of
Justice League: War, having had Dick Greyson on a team with Wally West two years or more beforehand.
Deathstroke's obsession with capturing Robin makes much more sense in this continuity, given their history.
Slade's drive to capture Dick Greyson in
Teen Titans, and make him his apprentice was flimsily based on the idea that Robin was simply the best, even though many people just as young have matched his skill. The second Robin, Jason Todd, who surpassed Nightwing in every way as the Red Hood, was just some street rat Batman caught stealing the Batmobile's wheels.
Slade and Damian's relationship just make much more sense, given their history.
I like the way Cyborg, Nightwing, and Starfire kind of comprise an older tier of the Titans in a way similar to Young Justice's core team acting as senior to the rest of the Team, and the core League to the Unlimited Leaguers.
Maybe we'll even get to see Wally as Flash in his
new suit (Wally and Barry are both called Flash now, confusing, I know) and Arsenal come into the fray, given their roles as original members, and given that they fit into that aforementioned senior tier.
It would be really cool to see Cyborg become like a mentor to Blue Beetle, given their similar circumstances.
Cyborg may even be able to teach Beetle to gain better control over the Scarab, considering how handily he has come to control the motherbox bonded to him.
The best I can hope for is that this universe starts putting out series soon, and we get the
Teen Titans we've been waiting for, and maybe even a new
Batman animated series to rival the original.
