He's just super prideful. If you want an example of it, it's Taiga from Toradora, or Rin from Fate/Stay Night.

The angel agreed to trade a set of white wings for the head of another demon. Overjoyed, the demon killed one of his own and plucked the head right off its still-warm body.

The angel then led the demon to heaven, where he underwent centuries of the cruelest tortures imaginable. Finally, the pain was so great that he lost consciousness - at which point his dark wings turned the promised shade of white.

The standoffish/ cold character that hides their true feelings (and typically poorly at that).

Archetypes are pretty bad, but Tsunderes are second worst next to Derederes, so they're pretty awful imo.

I can't stand saccharine characters, so Derederes can carbonize in a furnace like the marshmallows they are. Tsunderes are just so... Annoying. I hate feeling like I'm wasting time watching forgone character interaction play out, especially when the other person acts like a coy dolt. It's just infuriating.

But I'm a bit of a masochist, so Yanderes are appealing for that at least. Kuuderes do the one thing I ask of all archetypes, shutting the fuck up and staying that way.

I like some tropes, just like I enjoy some music. Some tropes are just bad. The ones you can't avoid may be unavoidable, but that doesn't mean I have to like them.
