Oh, I thought you were saying in addition to those.

I mean, it is an action/adventure/mystery story. It predates DragonBall Z, which is considered the over-the-top action series to the point of ridiculousness. At least JoJo didn't ever really suffer from powerleveling as far as I'm aware.

And the artstyle (of the manga, anyway) pretty much conformed to the genre until Part IV, where JoJo was big enough to do whatever it wanted at that point. The only thing that's truly ridiculous is the costume designs. You could almost say that they're really bizarre at times.
