For those of you that are good at analyzing, my question is about the relationship between Jia Sidao and his sister. From what I can tell he hates her but he also has some sort of attraction to or about her. From what we've seen so far would it be sexual of any kind? I know he has something for her but I don't know if it's sexual or something else. From what we've seen about his character the girl he loved is not only a whore like his sister, but he also did her lip makeup in the same style and color as his sister's during their youth flashback. He also calls his niece "sunflower" which is the same nickname his sister was being called by a customer in the flashback.

I think the whole point of his character was supposed to be 'unlikeable degenerate snake' so that you are more sympathetic to the mongols.

So the answer would be: probably, even if nothing happened

I liked the setting and show but egh, netflix really needs to stop thinking with it's dick when it comes to OC.

I don't really remember it too well, but I think at the very least his relationship with his sister was intended to be off-putting.

With GoT so popular Netflix isn't going to tone it down anytime soon, unfortunately.

I imagine Netflix and HBO have a competition of sorts, where they try to earn points by having the most amount of nudity and sexual content possible.

To me the only nude scenes in the show that have any purpose to them are the ones with Mei Lin. For the rest of you can take away and there wouldn't be any impact to the show. With hers on the other hand they either go with her character or they setup events. The other pointless scene is the one where Macro has sex with that female Mongolian warrior. I don't see what point there was to that scene when she had no interactions with him after it and she didn't marry him.

Actually I think that one did return later as another plot point to the effect of 'you fucked up now son' but that might have been someone else.

If they did it with some cut to black shit it wouldn't be half as bad, but instead they just go ham with it on all fronts as often as possible as with the rest of their shows.
