umm, no it doesn't dude. emulation doesn't require piracy at all.
Quote from: LC on March 31, 2017, 10:11:51 PMumm, no it doesn't dude. emulation doesn't require piracy at all.yes it doeseven if everything you're saying is true, you're still a cunt who should be raped in prison for what should legally be considered theft by any rational person
explain to me how emulation requires piracy
Quote from: LC on March 31, 2017, 10:14:03 PMexplain to me how emulation requires piracyare you paying any money
to legally play games? you'd kind of have to unless they're a gift.

well yeah, you have to buy the game to play it legally. depending on the emulator (and the environment you're emulation) you can either just pop the disc into your pc or dump the data onto it for a digital back up. both of which are completely legal.

did you know that you don't have to buy those consoles to legally play it?
Quote from: LC on March 31, 2017, 10:21:18 PMdid you know that you don't have to buy those consoles to legally play it?did you know that i don't care, because ethics overlap lawyou're still a thief by any rationally ethical definition, and that's terrible
except not. as long as none of the code was stolen in making the emulator that's simulating the environment of a Nintendo console nothing has been stolen. i'm not seeing why it's a big deal if someone chooses to play their legally purchased game on a different platform. i mean it's not as if they're actually stealing anything. if anything it just inflates the sales for that game.

i'm not seeing how legally purchasing something from an authorized retailer is the ethical equivalent of being a thief, but ok.
Quote from: LC on March 31, 2017, 10:28:40 PMi'm not seeing how legally purchasing something from an authorized retailer is the ethical equivalent of being a thief, but ok.because it's like stealing a wii uif you don't have a legally-purchased wii u, yet you're playing the game, it's like having a stolen wii u
