The hours are long as shit including weekends and you're doing night CQ shifts at least once a week on top of that, and there's no extra pay benefits.
You gotta be one highly motivated motherfucker to volunteer to be a drill... or just really piss off your training/retention NCO in your unit and you'll find yourself voluntold for DS school, as one of my DS's did.
