I agree that weed "culture" is terrible. I just smoke it because I love getting high. I've always liked being out of my normal state or out of my body, and drugs/alcohol have appealed to me because of that. Bad for me, sure. But a lot of stuff is.

Weed culture can be pretty toxic, but I think it's somewhat exaggerated. All of the stoners I know (including me, if you think I count) are guys who don't qualify as your typical, lazy stoner.

Plus, getting waved is fun.

I smoke weed once in a blue moon. I enjoy the feeling it gives me, but that smell makes me gag.

Lately I've been kind of a straight edge, drink doesn't really do much for me anymore.

Cannabinoids induce a feeling that is specific them and no other chemicals. Obviously the main reason for ingesting them in any form is to achieve that feeling. As is such with any psychoactive substance.

As for being a degenerate, that's the result of faulty character.

If I were guaranteed that it wouldn't change my perspective on anything outside of the activity of smoking it then I might. But I'd be nervous that I'd hear or think of some music and find it more amazing than I ever could sober or something.

first of all, weed smells fantastic

it helps calm me down. it lets me enjoy things a little more. food tastes better, shitty tv shows are funnier, doing chores/work actually becomes tolerable/dare i say fun? just the act of smoking is a bit cathartic once you've been a smoker for a while, too. weed doesnt give me a hangover. it helps me sleep. its not for everyone, but im certainly very very happy that i started smoking weed. much better than drinking IMO.

I only smoke once every few weeks, if at all.

It's a fun feeling to chill with a few of your friends for one night and just get stupidly high, then laugh at literally everything that happens to you. The process of getting high isn't fun, and I'm not the biggest fan of the smell myself, but the actual state of getting cooked is pretty fun if you do it every once in a while.

Just generally provides a more euphoric feeling as opposed to being just plain drunk. Food tastes great, sexual pleasure is enhanced, and there's no comedown/hangover the next morning sans maybe feeling a bit hungry.

Weed culture is fucking cancer though, I agree wholeheartedly.
