I don't celebrate it and neither does my family. I'm not saying no one should celebrating it, by all means celebrate it to your heart's content. I mainly made this thread as an excuse as to why there is no Santa hat on my avatar.

That and I wanted to see how alone I really am during New Year's eve.

It's hardly a religious holiday. It's mostly just an excuse to decorate, have family over and give each other presents to lighten up an otherwise usually gloomy season (i.e. winter)

I wonder if it has anything to do with me being part Russian. Because we don't even use a Christmas Tree, if anything it's a "New Years tree" That can easily be assembled and is made of tiny bits of white paper shaped like a pine tree.

I think I'm just gonna default into celebrating nothing next year.

I just ask for $50 bucks and I'm good.
I don't care about the gifts. I've hardly gotten anything for the past two years anyway. Last Christmas was my first time without my family, but I still had my friends...and the family of my now ex. I won't be able to spend the holidays with any of the people I care about this year because they threw me out.

I may be over 21 but I'm not a fan of alcohol.

I'm not really much of a drinker myself, I just drink Hard Cider or Champagne if I'm celebrating something.
