and I find out my aunt passed away yesterday.

Though I'm glad she did. She had leukemia for years, and my uncle's passing months ago pushed her into depression and made her not want to live anymore. It's unfortunate for sure, but I'm glad she's not in pain.

It's a strange mindset for me, to not be upset over someone's passing. But I knew this was coming for months, and I was ready for it. Though I hope I don't become desensitized to the passing of more family members, that's just a state of mind I can't imagine being in.

Talk about good timing then. Glad you showed up when you did then I guess, right? My condolences though. Not that I can say much of value here that would do any good. But as far as circumstances go it's a good thing that you showed up when you did, both for you, and her.
