Well if you want to go with the Christian God, then He's surrounded by simply put: every kind of person.

We don't act perfect then get to go to Heaven. We don't act at all, we screw up and try to change into something better. We're all works in progress, all the time. The thief on the Cross who was crucified beside Jesus? The guy who had probably killed somebody to earn his punishment and couldn't do anything to earn Heaven? He believed Jesus was who He says He was, and because of that faith He's in Heaven.

We don't have to perform for an audience, fulfill an image or expectations, anything. We just have to accept Christ.
