Sure, it's easier for others, both to those who deserve it and those who don't, but it's all about the luck of the draw. Where you come from, who you know, how much energy you put into things...you can have all, some or even none of those advantages and still wind up on either the top or bottom.It's forced me to look beyond my small circle, both the friends and family who abandoned me and the ones who are struggling too much themselves to really be able to do anything. As terrible as a few people here are, there's also a lot of really wonderful people too. To a few, I think I can actually credit for keeping me alive. When I first came here I was an absolute wreck on the verge of offing myself, hiding behind the guise of someone who didn't give a fuck about anything. But after a while, I actually started making friends, and enjoying the forum enough that I wanted to give back to it in the way I could. I started making nameplates, and people liked them. It felt fulfilling. As time went on I eased up more and more, and well, here I am today.Sometimes I hate being here and other times it's genuinely fun. This place is kind of weird like that.So I guess what I'm saying is...it is what it is. All we can do is make the best of what life has given us, especially since you never know if it's going to suddenly be ripped away.
