do you believe in setting low standards for yourself?

If You Are A False Don't Entry
I feel like what i really need to do more is set a really low standard for the expectations of me. that way when people meet me I won't have to withhold a big ass lie for a super long time before they discover the real me. I feel like people are concealing their true face behind a facade all the time. They put on a mask and pretend to be someone they're not. I think what I need to do is really focus on breaking that boundary right from the start. That way it won't hurt more when I have to break it later.

the one true God is Doctor Doom and we should all be worshiping him.
If it involves any amount of work on my part, yes, unless it's something I enjoy doing.

You will find out who you are not a thousand times, before you ever discover who you are. I hope you find peace in yourself and learn to love instead of hate.
You're becoming the new Zesty. Only less funny and a lot more depressing.

Of course not. High standards lead to perfection.

No, I don't. Set yourself out to do your best, especially if it matters to you. In highschool, I was the best pianist they've seen in years. In writing, I've been praised for being one of the best they've read (at least for fiction, anything but story writing bores me). In writing music, people ask me if it's from a movie or composer when I've written it myself. During my EMT class I was amongst the top students in the class that everyone wanted to study with, achieving a 96.5% average percentile, a very very good score for that course (never dropped below 95%). And whatever I seek to do next, I won't be second rate. I'll be the best at it, and you should seek to do the same.

We fear violence less than our own feelings. Personal, private, solitary pain is more terrifying than what anyone else can inflict.
The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can't be any large-scale revolution until there's a personal revolution, on an individual level. It's got to happen inside first
