I get how cool SSDs are, but 256 GB?
I don't think I could live with less than 500GB.
I'm rocking a TB in my current laptop.
Also, is there a touch screen?
Windows 8 doesn't really work without it.

I wouldn't pay more than $600 for that thing.

Yeah, I don't know about that either. On a desktop, I'd say go for two harddrives (one for the OS and one for everything else) but on a laptop with limited space, a larger SSD would be kinda needed.

Um actually, Windows 8.1 was updated for better Mouse & Keyboard interaction. The original Windows 8 felt like trying ot use a dry vagina.

it's an ultrabook, so a bit of the price is to make it small and portable.

it's also a business laptop, so there's a bit of a premium there, but it's worth it because of the reliability, durability, and longevity that the think pad line is known for. it also has the best keyboard on the market for laptops, and that's important for what im gonna be using it for.

If I'm not here, I'm doing photography. Or I'm asleep. Or in lockdown. One of those three, anyway.

The current titlebar/avatar setup is just normal.
All of those specs seem pretty decent apart from the SSD, but that can be fixed by buying a portable hard drive for all your non-default shit.

Reasonable price, if leaning a little on the "careful now" scale.
