I know that staff discusses stuff with each other and that some stuff can't be disclosed like if it relates to a personal issue but the idea of a completely separate board in which all of the discussion is off limits to the rest of the community sort of has an eerie ring to it. Like what goes on in there? What do they usually discuss? Who's brought up in there?

Very rarely are specific users brought up - and those that are are simply because they are potentially facing moderation.

Most of the time, it's where we post draft updates and announcements for tweaking before sharing, and the rest of the time is just ideas we have for the site.

It's dead as fuck, it's used to brainstorm ideas about rules and for storing copypasted reports. Or, for this current thread in question. So the mods can go over it and figure out what to do.
