How will Rian Johnson treat Episode 8?

His movie on Jurassic World isn't bad, but he didn't impress me yet, the only way that he will impress me if his work on Ep. 9 is great.

Looper was pretty good, and Abrams' praise for the script is obviously a good thing. I'm not particularly worried about the quality of either film, in all honesty. Colin's a good director too, considering how well he dodged blows in JW's script [admittedly he did write them in himself though]. And I feel like a lot of JW's problems [well, my problems with the script] wouldn't be very intense in SW, given the tone of the project. Like, you're not going to have DNA based communication as a problem in Star Wars.

Unless...

I mean, it wouldn't be too difficult for him to be a force ghost or something. The fact that Lucas changed him in the revised edition of RotJ says enough for me.

I'm sure they could make Ewan look like Alec. He looks enough like him already and has the mannerisms down exactly.

TFA was pretty good, coming from someone who remembers little of previous Star Wars. I'm already trying to get 1-6.
So hopefully 8 will do something similar to me.
