Why is there a mysterious L in words like walk and talk?  Are they really silent, or do some people actually put an L in there?

This is not the greatest sig in the world, no. This is just a tribute.
Like chalk. There's a very subtle L there. It's not super pronounced, but it's there enough to sound strange if I say it without it.

You flip the tip of your tongue just a little to make that subtle L noise
