How to destroy #offtopic

There is a nuclear option. One that shouldn't be taken lightly, but we should know it exists.

Bungie tied their forums to Destiny. That means their profits as a company rely on the forums being on the up and up.

You want to destroy #Offtopic? Make Bungie nuke it now and forever. Call your local news stations. Report that you know of a video game forum with suspected pedophiles, harassment, bullying etc... Then give them the URL.

If all of us do this, the press inquiries will cause them to nuke the forum so it doesn't hurt their profits. #Destiny, #Bungie etc... Would remain. But #offtopic and any dedicated users there would be removed.

I AM NOT suggesting we do this. Though, if the person who is doing the DDOS attack out of some loyalty to Bungie should read this: We can do this.

Again, you just gave anyone who wants to screw up offtopic somehow a way of doing it. If they were misinformed on how to do that, they aren't now. I honestly don't even see the point of this thread. Being that it only gives people ideas on how to fuck up the flood.

Lets not. Things are bad enough between the two forums. As of right now the only one to be dealt with is the person doing the DDOS attacks.

Why is any of that necessary? I use both forums, quite happily.

I think you're taking things a bit too drastically... let's enjoy the community as a whole and not divide it's users based on someones anonymous goal to destroy this offsite, what we should be doing exposing whoever is responsible if we haven't already. offtopic as a whole has no intention to destroy this place
