How often do you use this?

I've been looking at ways to improve the forum after some criticisms of the "NEW" image that appears for new topics, and I ran across this eyesore.

My question to you is: how often do you use the little page selection links shown in the image? I'm not talking about pagination within a thread; merely the links visible in board view.

I actually think it's pretty useful. I don't have to open a thread, then click page 5.
It' right there from the start.

It's not a huge loss to have to open the thread then click it, but its quicker.

The only time I ever use it is in the thread itself. Outside the thread I don't.

It can be useful, but usually if I'm search for a specific page I go into the thread first.

I don't use it. I just click the "latest post" button and then navigate the thread from there.

I honestly don't see it as an eyesore. It's functional and as out-of-the-way as it can be while still being easily locatable. While I don't use it often, others appear to do so, and since I don't find it painful to look at, I can't justify saying it should go.
