How much money do you give a homeless person?

If ever. I always do because I feel bad if I don't, plus it's not like I'm struggling so I might as well help someone out. Anyway depending on how much I have on me I give 2-5 dollars. It's usually enough to get a decent meal.

I'd rather give them food or drink. In Mexico, when my family is waiting in line, we give any excess soda or water to the people on the streets. Maybe a snack.

i don't give them anything

grew up in DC, so im pretty null to the homeless

they blow it all on an addiction most of the time. the same addiction that ruined their life to begin with

Good on y'all who buy them something to eat, I've spared some food on very rare occasions. But I usually see them on the street while I'm driving, so it's not really feasible to head to the nearest restaurant and wait for the guys order.
I trust they'll be smart with that money.

I think it's kind of like saying they can't be trusted with just money. But then again if was homeless and got a meal bought for me I couldn't complain.

In south Florida people pretend to be homeless as a source of income.

Not everyone is pretending but I don't give money to anyone as a rule.

There was that one Guatemalan fella though, he seemed pretty chill so I shot him ten bucks to party with.

I don't because as Max has pointed out, I don't have any money of my own.

That'll change once I get an actual income, but I don't give my government loan money to homeless people, there's already welfare schemes that go towards that here, IIRC.

This picture shows debt. Not overflowing with cash and having debt are very different. I'm just saying if you have a stable income. I have a part time job and am going to school so I know how money can be tight, but a guy in my situation can give two bucks.
