How have you changed since joining this community?

Five years ago I was a socially inept fuckwad with no friends, I had no idea how to talk to people, and I spent all of my time alone.

Honestly though, I was smarter, kinder, perhaps a little more sheltered, but I think I was a more decent person.
I was a Christian, and I was disgusted by homosexuals and transgender people.

Decency is overrated though.
It's my time here I've outgrown a lot of naivete, and idealism.

I wouldn't say I've learned anything, but I've definitely grown up, and I would attribute some of it to my time here.
Now I can make friends anywhere, and I've found a voice to the public.

There's still a shy, idyllic guy in here somewhere, but I wouldn't trade my experience here for the world.

I'm more laid back

i've only been on this forum for a week, but i joined the Bungie community six years ago as of last month. i was a freshman in highschool when i started posting on Bungie's forums, and i'm deep into university now. hell fucking yeah i've changed.

i really couldn't tell you what the internet changed and what changed due to puberty and maturing in general, but i wouldn't trade the experience for anything. the people i've met through the bungie forums and the internet in general are still a huge, huge part of my life; i met my closest friends on The Flood almost six years ago and still talk to them every day. it would be impossible to tell you how i've changed, but i'm so terribly glad that the Bungie community and my friends from there were part of it.

I was an atheist and then after that I looked at nature and life closely. I saw something and started to change.I started to see that Life and Death are just cycles like Day and Night or cycles of seasons. That everything in the Universe gets reused. After reading "The Power of Now" I realized how I was meant to be my whole life.

Yep. Things were good for a bit. Now they're not. Fun time, over.
