How hard is basic training for the Army?

Next summer I was thinking about joining up. Health wise I see myself doing well because I'm able to run and I can build up muscle for strength shit. The problem I think I'm going to have is the drill sergeants. I know the Army is less anal than the marines but how much are they in your face and how often do they yell at you? That right there is the thing that has me worried and scarred the most. Also would I still be able to join up with a slight speech impediment?

Right now in the area I'm at there's hardly any jobs around. I'm thinking about saving up to go to a school to get a CDL. If that fails I'm thinking about the military.

I thought I was more fun than anything else.
I mean, yeah, you get tired of being dropped for stupid shit someone else did, and you miss sleeping full nights, and you really do lose some faith in humanity because of the sheer stupidity of some of the knuckle-dragging mouthbreathers that somehow managed to not be recycled or chaptered out... but it was the best 9 weeks of my life.

itll be easier if you go in expecting the worst. the general idea of basic training is to tear down the person you once were and build up a good soldier- someone who will follow orders immediately and without question.

the physical parts are doable for just about anyone, youll just have a hard time if you arent in peak physical condition. but exercise is hardly something to complain about.
